If you are the type of person who reads all my posts and says “oh, I’d love to make my own handstamped cards but I don’t want to have to buy so many stamps and inks and special tools….”, Stampin’ Up! has something new and fun for you!  Here is a project kit that will let you make your own (super cute) cards and includes everything you need (including stamps, ink, cardstock, envelopes, and even embellishments) for just $15.95!  That is a GREAT way to get started with card making.   The stamps and ink spots will be yours to keep and you can always order additional note cards and envelopes to stamp on – it’s just $5.95 for 20 of them.

Here’s what you get when you purchase the Fancy Friends project kit:

  • Delicate Doilies Stamp Set (wood-mount; only one image)
  • Sweet Essentials Stamp (wood-mount; only “friends” image)
  • Daffodil Delight Cardstock flower pieces
  • Old Olive Cardstock flower pieces
  • Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Spot
  • Old Olive Stampin’ Spot
  • 6 Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes
  • Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Adhesive is not included, I’d recommend Glue Dots to adhere those cute little cardstock flowers to the front of your card.

Happy stamping!

A few weeks ago, Stampin’ Up! announced that they would offer single stamps from some of our more popular stamp sets for individual purchase.  This is a pilot program and they introduced single stamps from only three sets to start, but it must be going well because this week they announced two more assortments of stamps available for individual purchase!  You can see the flyers with stamp images, product numbers, and prices here:

Single Stamps Assortment 1

Single Stamps Assortment 2

To see the original three assortments of single stamps, see my previous post here.

Remember:

  • These won’t be sent to you in our typical cases or packaging; they’ll be packaged in cello bags. If you’d like a case for your stamp, you can buy our Clear-Mount Stamp Cases that come in packs of four (item 119105).
  • This offer is available for clear-mount stamps only.
  • The stamps won’t come with a Clear-Mount Block, and you’ll need to buy a block separately if you don’t already have one. The recommended block sizes can be found on the flyers.
  • There’s no limit on how many pieces you can buy.
  • Remember that this is a pilot program, so take advantage of it while you can!

If you see one (or several) that you love, you can order it from my online store at anytime, or contact me and I’d be happy to place your order for you!

If you want to order, I’d recommend placing it on MONDAY, OCTOBER 29.  For the first time ever, Stampin’ Up! is holding a one-day sale, and almost ALL stamps (single stamps and stamp sets, wood mount and clear mount) will be 15% off for 24 hours only.  Prices will be reflected in the online store beginning at midnight Mountain Daylight Time on Monday 10/29.  Any set you’ve been thinking about, now is the time to get it!  An across the board discount on every stamp set is not likely to happen again anytime soon.  Please note that this INCLUDES THE COOKIE STAMPS!  Pretty much the only things excluded are hostess stamp sets and digital stamp brush sets.  I plan to place an order for myself, I am not missing out on these deals!

Although I am constantly making cards, it is rare that I get a handmade card in the mail myself!  I got this beautiful one in the mail last month from my upline Beth Crocker.  It’s a trifold card, made from a 5 1/2″ x 11″ piece of cardstock scored at 3 7/8″ and 8 1/8″.

I love the two-step stamping she did, stamping the bird first with Pool Party ink and then again (just slightly offset) with Island Indigo ink to give a shadow effect without actually snipping the whole bird out.  Same thing with the branch – Lucky Limeade and then again in Always Artichoke.  And that new paper piercing pack that has templates to coordinate perfectly with framelits adds the perfect amount of detail around the edge of the Whisper White cardstock.

Materials:

  • Stamp Set:  Betsy’s Blossoms
  • Ink:  Pool Party, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Always Artichoke, Daffodil Delight
  • Cardstock:  Island Indigo, Always Artichoke, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
  • Tools and Accessories:  Big Shot with Fancy Fan embossing folder and Apothecary Accents Framelits, Paper piercer and Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Scallop Trim Border Punch, 1/2″ circle punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Basic Jewels Rhinestones

Today is my 10th wedding anniversary (wow, how did that happen so fast?) AND my little brother is getting married today!  Crazy coincidence?  Maybe October 6th is just a GREAT day for weddings.  I am really looking forward to a fun celebration today.

Of course I wanted some special cards for both these occasions.  I know this is a retired stamp set, but it is the one I used on the wedding invitations I made for my brother and new sister-in-law so I wanted to pull it out again for them, AND the colors are just the same as the ones my husband and I had at our wedding so I made him one that is almost the same.  I love these colors and how they suit this time of year so well but can also be quite masculine.

Here are the cards – one “For the Newlyweds” to give my brother and his brand-new wife, and the other “Happy Anniversary” to give to my husband.

Materials:

  • Stamp Sets:  Autumn Splendor (retired), Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
  • Cardstock:  Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla
  • Tools and Accessories:  Big Shot with Labels Framelits and Lacy Brocade embossing folder, Bitty Buttons, Cherry Cobbler baker’s twine

Check out these flyers for images of stamps available for individual purchase:

Here are the details about this new offer straight from Stampin’ Up!

  • These individual stamps won’t be sent to you in our typical cases or packaging; they’ll be packaged in cello bags.
