Have you heard me talk about Paper Pumpkin yet?

You all know I LOVE stamping and playing with all my paper, inks, and stamps…but as a demonstrator who is constantly needing to come up with projects for my classes and workshops, sometimes I just want someone ELSE to come up with the ideas!  And precut the cardstock for me.  And come up with coordinating colors and cute embellishments for me.  And write the instructions and provide artwork to show me what the finished product should look like.

That is why I LOVE getting my Paper Pumpkin box in the mail each month.  It is advertised as a monthly “creativity escape”, but I view it as an escape from having to think too hard.  🙂  Everything you need for a project is in the box – cardstock, embellishments, instructions…even stamps and ink!  Everything is precut or pre-scored, and ready for you to get started.  You don’t have to pull out a bunch of materials before getting to work, and there is not a big mess of “craft-aftermath” at the end…just what you need for a half hour or so of relaxing craftiness!

You get a different project every month, and it is always a surprise!  Some months it is a card kit, other months you may get a project like a mini-scrapbook, a decor item, we even got some very nice embellished gift bags a couple months ago.  For an example of what a typical month’s box looks like, check out this video showing the March 2014 kit:

So what are the details?  Paper Pumpkin is a subscription service, you get one box per month for $19.95 (with free shipping!)  You can cancel or suspend your subscription if you ever feel like taking a break from it.  The first month you will receive the starter kit (pictured below) which includes a clear block that you can hang onto and use with clear mount or photopolymer stamps you will be receiving in your kit each month.

If you sign up for a Paper Pumpkin subscription by the end of March, you will receive a FREE set of 2013-2015 In Color Markers ($14.95 value!)

And if I get just one more (seriously…ONE) person to sign up, I get a free stamp set from the upcoming annual catalog which is SO CUTE.  Please won’t you help me get it?  This would make a great monthly creativity escape for yourself, but it would also be a lovely gift for a daughter, mother, or close friend who enjoys crafts but may be short on time and/or space to indulge in them often.

Just click the image above to subscribe! If it does not automatically list me as your demonstrator, please select Stephanie Kokan, Madison AL 35757 from the list when prompted.

Also, don’t forget that Sale-a-Bration ends in a few days!  Don’t miss out on your chance to get a free gift with any $50 purchase!

Happy stamping!

It’s here, it’s here, it’s here!!!  I’ve had it in my hands since June and I’ve nearly BURST while waiting for the day I could finally share the 2013 Holiday Catalog with you.  What a great holiday catalog it is, too!  I am so excited to reveal it to you:

2013 Holiday Catalog

One of the things you will notice right away is that the format of this catalog is very different from any that you’ve seen from Stampin’ Up! before.  If you start flipping through from the beginning you will not see a single item listing until you get all the way to page 18.  That’s SEVENTEEN PAGES of nothing but project ideas and pictures of great ways to use the products that appear on the last 22 pages of the catalog.  It is definitely different and takes a little getting used to, but I love that Stampin’ Up! put so much effort into giving us lots and lots of ideas for holiday projects.

The other thing I noticed is that there are SO MANY project kits.  Of course there is the usual assortment of stamps and designer series paper and tools for the Big Shot that we always have, but the kits are exciting to me!   There are Thanksgiving place setting kits, kits to make banners to decorate your mantel for the holidays (and beyond), kits to make your own beautiful holiday cards (even one for those photo cards that I love to send!), kits to make treat bags (only $4.95 for ten!  I know what I’m doing for my kids’ classmates for Halloween and Christmas!), kits to make tags, and a kit to make designer bows.  That’s a lot of kits!  If you are the kind of person who does not have the time or energy to spend hours on Pinterest researching and planning project ideas to make from scratch, these kits are a perfect way to pull it off.  Everything is precut and prepped for you, you just put it together and accept all the compliments on your fabulous handmade project!  🙂

Heads up for my local customers, I will be doing LOTS of classes based around these project kits.  We will be making banners and wreaths galore for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, so get your mantels and walls ready for some holiday decorations done Stampin’ Up! style!

If you would like your very own copy of the 2013 Holiday Catalog to hold in your hands (and maybe put under your pillow at night like I suspect some of my stamp club members do…) please let me know!  Until then you can see it online by clicking on the catalog image above.

Now it is time for some announcements about other exciting things.  I have been away from stamping and blogging for a week while I was out of the state visiting family and I have a lot of knowledge stored up to drop on you all at once!  Are you ready?

What could be more exciting than the holiday catalog, you ask?

  1. A sales tax holiday for back to school!  Stampin’ Up products are WAY nicer than anything I ever got for school when I was growing up, but it turns out some things in the annual catalog technically qualify as school supplies!  Hooray!  You can check HERE for what your state’s sales tax holiday dates are and what kinds of items are included.  For Alabama, the sales tax holiday is August 2-4 and includes the following items (basically, adhesive, scissors, and pens/markers under $50 per item):

    • Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive (item 110755) $3.95
    • Anywhere Glue Sticks (item 104045) $3.95
    • 2012-2014 In Color Stampin’ Write Markers (item 126856) $14.95
    • 2013-2015 In Color Stampin’ Write Markers (item 131260) $14.95
    • Stampin’ Write Marker New Color Kit (item 130034) $28.95
  2. What’s even better than a sales tax holiday?  When Stephanie offers a FREE SHIPPING deal during the tax holiday!  If you place an order of $50 or more with me during the weekend of August 2-4 using the hostess code KUDNABB9 at checkout, I will reimburse your shipping costs!  If you are a local customer (Huntsville/Madison, AL area) you can just e-mail me your order and I’ll put it in for you.
  3. EXCITING NEW PRODUCTS THAT ARE SO NEW THEY ARE NOT EVEN LISTED IN ANY CATALOG YET!  These things include the brand new Thinlits Card Dies which I think I must own immediately:

Thinlits Card Dies

Here is a video to make you more excited about the Thinlits card dies:

The newest installment in the Best Of…  stamp sets was released today!  The August set is Best of Halloween:

My Paper Pumpkin

Stampin’ Up! has come out with something new!  This is perfect for people who would love to get into stamping but are overwhelmed by the big catalog and don’t know what to choose, or who are looking for a nice approachable craft project that is still so cute that it will impress all your friends.

Paper Pumpkin is a new service where Stampin’ Up will mail you a super cute red box once a month full of stamps, ink, paper, and accessories.  Everything you need, all cut, measured, and ready to create a sweet little project.  It cuts out all the prep work and lets you get right to the fun part!  $19.95 per month includes everything you need for your project and free shipping as well!

Each month’s box will be a surprise – something new and different each time!  No commitment either – you can opt to skip a month if you want or cancel anytime without penalty.

The first month’s box contains a free gift – a clear block that can be used with Stampin’ Up!’s clear-mount stamps!

To learn more, go to www.mypaperpumpkin.com.

Please list me (Stephanie Kokan) as your demonstrator when you sign up!  This helps me earn extras that I can pass along to my customers at classes and parties, which is more fun for everyone!

For my local customers, I will be hosting a Paper Pumpkin Party every 4th Friday of the month.  Bring your red Paper Pumpkin box and come on over – we’ll open up our boxes and make our projects all together!
